Happy Fall!
This is, hands down, my favorite season of the year! The colors are turning really gorgeous here in the Smoky Mountain foothills, the mums are in full bloom, and the crisp touch of autumn is in the air.

I'm currently writing on BREAKPOINT, High Risk book #4, which is sexy Air Force CCT Dallas O'Halloran's story. When he first appeared in CROSSFIRE, then had a larger part in in SHATTERED, I had no idea he'd turn out to be the charmer of my Spec-Ops guys. I've got to admit, the guy's definitely won me over! Originally scheduled for September, 2009, BREAKPOINT has been moved up to July, just in time to take to the beach.
Also in stores now is DEAR SANTA, my novella in the SILVER BELLS anthology with Fern Michaels. Unlike my High Risk suspense books, this story's part how The Grinch Stole Christmas, part Miracle on 34th Street. My heroine, mystery writer Holly Berry, is who I imagine the Natalie Wood character in Miracle would have grown up to be if she hadn't met Santa until she was an adult. Holly hates the holidays until her SUV breaks down in the little hamlet of Santa's Village in Washington State. Where former marine turned lodge owner Gabriel O'Halloran and his five-year-old daughter rekindle her belief in passion, magic, and Christmas wishes. I had a fabulous time writing Gabe and Holly's story and hope readers will enjoy them as much as I did. Oh, and did I mention paperback books -- especially Christmas stories -- make fabulous stocking stuffers?
