Today I have two Friday photos to share to help those who’ve never been to our corner of the Pacific Northwest better imagine Honeymoon Harbor while you’re reading.
The first one is an iconic green and white ferry coming into town with Mt. Baker in the background. If you’re in town, looking out toward the water, this is what you’ll see. The second photo shows the Olympic mountains and the peninsula part of the town. If you’re in town looking away from the harbor, this is what you’ll see.
Honeymoon Harbor is nestled between the bright green water and snowcapped mountains. With, as you can tell from the land part, lots and lots of green trees everywhere. We have a ferry landing about twenty minutes from our house. Sometimes we’ll pack a lunch, or pick up sandwiches at Subway and ride it back and forth to a nearby island for a lunch date.
