This week’s Friday photo is Mt. McLoughlin, which is north of my small Oregon hometown, where my River’s Bend series is set. The model for Modoc Mountain, it’s 9,495′ and is part of the Cascades Volcanic Arc. We’d go there all the time and since it’s my Irish family name, when I was a very young girl, I thought it was named for us.
