Happy Monday! AND national cake day! What’s your favorite cake? I usually make German chocolate or devil’s food for hubs’s birthday, but this time of year I make a three layer white Italian coconut rum cake with white buttercream frosting & red and green maraschino cherries spaced around the top to look Christmasy. And thinking of it, coconut and rum don’t sound Italian, but that’s what the recipe I got from Southern Living magazine many, many yrs ago called it.
